What changed in Cam4's terms
Cam4 publishes no general refund policy for tokens; its terms say refunds and chargebacks are reviewed under applicable law, card network rules, processor requirements and Cam4 policy. The September 2026 revision adds an expiry rule: tokens you bought and did not use within six months of the purchase expire without a refund. The terms say forfeited tokens go to Cam4Cares.
The rule covers purchased tokens. It does not change what tokens are worth to performers: Cam4 still says "Each token = $0.10 USD" for broadcasters. Group-show tickets also keep their existing rule, with automatic refunds if the show is cancelled or the performer leaves.
Why it matters: what a token balance costs
Tokens are prepaid money, so an expiry date puts a time limit on that money. Cam4's package prices, read from its public checkout on 14 October 2026 from an EU connection, were in euros and may differ by country:

Cam4 also adds a transaction fee to token purchases (the amount is not shown logged out). Larger packages are cheaper per token, but with the expiry rule a big package only saves money if you actually spend it within six months.
What it means for viewers
- Occasional visitors: buy the smallest package that covers what you plan to spend. Leftover tokens are now a risk, not a saving.
- Gold members: Cam4 lets you pay for Gold with 125 tokens per month, which is one way to use a balance before it expires.
- Everyone: note your purchase dates. The clock runs from the purchase, so mixed purchases may expire at different times.

What it means for performers
Nothing changes in how performers are paid for tokens they receive. Separately, Cam4's model documentation already said broadcasters' unredeemed tokens are lost if they delete their account, so request payouts before closing an account.
