Stripchat is a free-to-watch, token-based cam site with one of the widest show menus in the industry: private, exclusive private, cam2cam, group, ticket, spy and VR shows, each with a published token range. This Stripchat review covers what the shows cost, what Stripchat's own token price example shows, how charges appear on your statement and what performers earn.

What Is Stripchat?
Stripchat is a freemium adult cam platform run by Technius Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus (registration number HE349515, Limassol). It launched in 2016 and marked its tenth birthday on its blog in April 2026. When we checked the homepage logged out on October 14, 2026, it showed roughly 8,200 rooms marked live, with tabs for women, couples, men and trans performers and a separate cam2cam category.
Stripchat reported 29 million average monthly active recipients in the EU as of December 31, 2025, on its EU Digital Services Act page. All performers must be 18 or older and pass ID verification before they can broadcast. For how it ranks against other platforms, see our best cam sites list.
How Does Stripchat Work?
Stripchat follows the tip-based model: performers stream in public rooms, viewers watch for free and tip tokens toward goals or tip-menu items, and paid shows take the performer out of public chat. What sets it apart is the number of paid formats and the in-room games around tipping, such as Epic goals, a Wheel of Fortune, polls and a "King of the room" for the top tipper.
- Guests can watch public rooms without an account.
- Registered users can chat (unless a model limits chat to verified users or token holders) and buy tokens.
- Ultimate members get invisible mode, anonymous tips and unlimited private messages with any model.
- Fan Club members pay individual models monthly for exclusive content and perks.

Free Chat: Is Stripchat Free?
Yes. Its help center says the site is "100% free with instant access from anywhere" and that tokens are optional. Public shows cost nothing to watch. You pay only when you tip, join a paid show, buy content, subscribe to a Fan Club or buy Ultimate. There is also an hourly draw for 50 free tokens.
Can you use Stripchat without registration?
Yes, for watching. The homepage and live rooms were open logged out on October 14, 2026. To chat you need an account, and private messages to models are limited to Ultimate members and a model's Friends. Some models restrict chat to verified accounts or users with tokens. Private Shows and Other Paid Show Types
The help center documents a token range for almost every paid format. Models pick their price inside the range.
Private and Exclusive Private
A private show costs 8 to 150 tokens per minute and stops when you run out of tokens. Models can set a minimum duration (leaving early charges the minimum) and offer temporary discounts. Exclusive Private costs 8 to 150 tokens per minute too, but it is one-on-one with no spies, can include extra activities and can add cam2cam. Using a simple example rate: a 10-minute private at 60 tokens per minute uses 600 tokens.
Cam2Cam
Cam2Cam starts from Start Private > Cam2Cam, allows no spies and costs 8 to 250 tokens per minute, the widest range on the site. In an Exclusive Private the model can see and hear you. Our cam to cam guide compares this with other platforms.
Group and ticket shows
A group show is paid per minute with unlimited participants, and reserving a slot is free; Stripchat says it is usually cheaper than a private. A ticket show has a single price of 8 to 1,000 tokens for the whole show.
Spy shows
Users with tokens get a free 15-second peek once per show, then pay the model's spy rate of 4 to 60 tokens per minute. Spies cannot chat, and spying is not covered by the refund policy. Some Fan Club tiers include free spying.
VR shows
Stripchat streams VR shows through vr.stripchat.com in a headset's browser, with no app needed. It recommends Meta Quest headsets, Rift and Apple Vision Pro, and also lists Valve Index, HP Reverb, HTC Vive Pro, Pico 4 and Cardboard. Models set their own VR private prices. Stripchat Token System
Everything on the site is paid in tokens. The value differs depending on which side you are on:
- Viewer side: what you pay per token depends on the package, your country and the payment method. Stripchat says "the bigger the package, the higher the discount".
- Model side: every token is worth a fixed $0.05 to the model, so 20 tokens are $1 and 100 tokens are $5.
Tokens can be spent on tips, shows, recordings, albums and paid messages. Models can refund tips they received in the last 20 minutes. Our page on Stripchat token value converts common amounts, and the webcam tokens guide explains how tokens differ between sites.
How Much Are Stripchat Tokens?
Stripchat's live "Buy Tokens" window only opens after login. The clearest public prices are an official example table in Stripchat's help article on model payout percentages (edited April 2026). We reproduce it below. Treat it as Stripchat's own example, not a guaranteed price list for your country:

The table has no currency symbol; the article states payouts in USD. Treat it as Stripchat's own example, not a guaranteed live price list: the 'Buy Tokens' modal is login-only, and 'How much does a token cost?' only says prices depend on country and payment method ('the bigger the package, the higher the discount'). The /become-a-model page uses a '$199.99' package in its income example. /tokens page: 'savings up to 30% and more' on bigger packs; larger packages unlock with account history or on request; 50 free tokens in an hourly draw; gift cards via UgiftHub. A few rules from the public token page and help center:
- Bigger packs save "up to 30% and more", and larger packages unlock with account history or on request.
- There are no coupon codes; personal and seasonal discounts appear in your account.
- Prices "may change from time to time" and "may vary", according to the Terms.

How much does Stripchat cost beyond tokens?
- Ultimate: sold as a one-month purchase, a monthly charge or an annual charge that "includes 2 free months". The price is not published on public pages. First-time buyers can get 7 free days with special packages (credit card only).
- Fan Clubs: three tiers (Soldier, Lord and Prince), priced by each model since spring 2026, paid monthly or upfront for 3, 6 or 12 months. See how fan clubs work.
- Recordings: public shows can be recorded for a per-minute fee; private recordings are saved to My Collection if the model allows.
Features
- Tipping: tip menus, goals, Epic goals, offline tips, private menu requests, polls and reactions. See tipping on cam sites.
- Interactive toys: Lovense and Kiiroo, including a full toy-control mode; fake or disconnected toys are against the rules. More on tip-controlled toys.
- Recordings and albums: photo and video albums (free, friends-only or paid) and show recordings capped at 720p that cannot be downloaded. Stripchat's Terms say purchased content stays available even if the model deletes their account. See recorded shows.
- Couples and multi-person accounts: one Account Holder appears in every broadcast, and second models can be added.
- Stream quality: OBS streaming up to 1080p; recordings max out at 720p.
- In development: in September 2026 Stripchat described a feature letting viewers mark spots on the model's live video during private shows. It was not live when we checked.
Mobile Experience: Does Stripchat Have an App?
Not in the app stores. Stripchat's help center says it "does not offer a standalone mobile app through the App Store, Google Play, or as an APK". The official app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that you install from the website: on iPhone through Safari's Share menu, on Android from the browser. It supports notifications, and Stripchat claims it keeps your activity off your browser history. The help center warns not to install any app claiming to be Stripchat from elsewhere. Apple's App Store and Google Play rules both ban sexually explicit apps.

Payment Methods
Stripchat lists one of the broadest sets of payment options we have seen:
- Credit, debit, prepaid and virtual cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club and JCB (see card payments)
- PayPal
- paysafecard (see using paysafecard on cam sites)
- Alipay/UPI, Sofort and mobile billing
- Gift cards, including UgiftHub gift cards
- More than 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, USDT, USDC, Ethereum, Solana and Ripple (see buying tokens with crypto)
- Bank wire in EUR, GBP or USD, minimum 500
Auto-Refill is optional: it re-buys your last package, up to 4 times in 24 hours, on cards and PayPal, and you switch it on in Settings and Privacy.
Privacy and Billing
How does Stripchat billing appear on your statement?
Stripchat is one of the few sites that publishes its statement names. Its help center says transactions "may appear on your bank statement under one of the following names, depending on the payment provider you use": EPOCH.COM*Technius, SegpayEU.com-TechChat or Paymentico.com, and possibly centrobill.com or Technius Ltd. Paymentico was added as a card processor in October 2026. None of these names say "Stripchat". Our guide on what cam charges look like on a statement compares other sites.
Recurring charges and refunds
Fan Club subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled in My Subscriptions, and Ultimate renews if you bought it as a monthly or annual charge (cancel at My Profile > My Subscriptions > Ultimate membership > Cancel Membership). Our guide to cancelling recurring cam site charges walks through it.
Stripchat's refund rules are clearer than most:
- Money back: only for your last package, bought within 30 days, with its tokens unused, and only for card or PayPal purchases.
- Tokens back: complaints within 48 hours; no full refund if a disputed private lasted over 5 minutes; tips only with a clear agreement on the exact request and amount; spying is not covered.
- Forfeiture: unused tokens can be lost if an account is terminated for a breach or after inactivity.

Is Stripchat safe?
Stripchat is a large, established platform with a named operator, discreet statement names and a published refund policy. Privacy tools include 2FA with Google Authenticator, invisible mode and anonymous tips for Ultimate members, and the option for Diamond and Royal users to mask their level. Our account security guide covers setup.
There is an open regulatory issue. In May 2025 the European Commission opened Digital Services Act proceedings against Stripchat and three other adult sites over how minors are kept out. On March 26, 2026 it preliminarily found Stripchat in breach, saying a self-declared 18+ click, page blurring and warnings are not effective and that Stripchat needs privacy-preserving age verification (European Commission). The finding is not final. In the UK, Ofcom named Stripchat in June 2025 among services committing to age checks from July 25, 2025; see UK cam site rules. Stripchat's privacy policy says it uses age verification providers and shares only an "age confirmation" with affiliated sites to avoid repeat checks.
Deleting your account is done in Settings and Privacy > Delete Account. The account goes inactive immediately, can be reactivated with its tokens for up to 18 months, and is then deleted automatically. See our account deletion steps.
For Models: Creator Features and Payouts
Stripchat accepts performers aged 18+ ("females, males, couples, and transgenders") and studios. Sign-up is free; verification needs a valid passport, ID card or driver's license, a real-time selfie and a photo holding the ID with a handwritten note of the date and username. Stripchat says documents are usually reviewed within 24 hours.
How much do Stripchat models earn?
Models are paid a fixed $0.05 per token, whatever package the viewer bought. Stripchat says that equals 48% to 63% of the package price, "over 55%" of user spending on average. Its become-a-model page shows a model keeping $118 of a $199.99 package and quotes an average of about $20 an hour "in your region"; both are Stripchat's own marketing figures.
- Schedule: weekly, every Tuesday (international wire every other Tuesday).
- Minimum payout: $50 for Paxum, Yoursafe, Cosmo Payment, Bitcoin, Tether and local wires; $100 for Ethereum, USD Coin, ACH, SEPA and Visa; $500 for international wire.
- Fees: one help article says all payout methods are free, but a newer crypto article says 1% is deducted on crypto payouts. VR models pay a weekly VR provider fee.
- Tools: browser, OBS (up to 1080p) or the third-party Plasma Streaming mobile app; geo-blocking by country and region; a new-model promotion for 30 days or 80 streaming hours; a 20% referral program; and a broadcast-only mirror, mywebcamroom.com, for models where stripchat.com is blocked.

Best Alternatives to Stripchat
Chaturbate is the closest rival: also $0.05 per token to broadcasters, with daily payouts, but no published package list. BongaCams publishes its full price list logged out and sets fixed default rates for each show type. If you mostly want private time, LiveJasmin is a premium pay-per-minute site. Stripchat Review: Final Verdict
Stripchat is the most feature-rich of the big token sites. It is free to watch, documents a price range for almost every show type, adds VR and cam2cam, takes more payment methods than most rivals and tells you exactly which names can appear on your statement. The trade-offs: live token prices and the Ultimate price stay behind a login, messaging needs a paid membership, and the EU's preliminary finding on age checks is unresolved. For models, $0.05 per token with weekly Tuesday payouts is a solid, clearly documented deal. Choose Stripchat if you want the widest choice of shows and payment options.
