Webcam Payment Methods
Webcam payment methods are broader than most people expect. Every major cam site takes Visa and Mastercard, most take PayPal, and many accept crypto, paysafecard, gift cards and local bank methods such as iDEAL or Sofort. Apple Pay and Google Pay are almost absent, because both companies' own rules forbid using them for pornography.

How paying on a cam site works
Almost all cam platforms sell a prepaid unit rather than charging you per action. Token sites (Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, CamSoda, MyFreeCams, CAM4) sell token packages; credit sites (LiveJasmin, Flirt4Free, XLoveCam) sell credits; Streamate, Jerkmate and SkyPrivate bill in money, per minute or from a prepaid balance. Behind the checkout sits a specialist payment processor. Platforms name Epoch, Segpay, CCBill, Rocketgate, Paymentico, Centrobill, NetBilling and others in their billing pages. The processor holds your card data and usually its name, not the cam site's, appears on your statement. The exact names are in how webcam billing appears.
Prices can depend on where you are and how you pay. Chaturbate says VAT may be included depending on your region; BongaCams says prices depend on the location where the account was created; LiveJasmin says billing depends on the country of your first purchase. Some methods also give less for the same money, as shown below.
The payment methods explained
Credit and debit cards
Cards are accepted by every platform we could check, and they are the only method that is refundable almost everywhere. Visa and Mastercard are universal; Discover, JCB, Maestro, Diners Club and American Express appear on some sites (American Express on Flirt4Free, for example). PayPal
PayPal is documented by Stripchat, LiveJasmin, CamSoda, MyFreeCams, CAM4, Streamate, Jerkmate, Cams.com and XLoveCam, and in a limited, US-only form by SkyPrivate. On several sites it runs through an adult-specialist processor (CamSoda via Epoch, MyFreeCams and XLoveCam via Segpay). It keeps your card number away from the cam site, but it can cost more: Streamate adds a service charge and XLoveCam credits EUR 9 for EUR 10 paid via PayPal. Cams.com's homepage banner, seen from the Netherlands, said PayPal is now its default way to add tokens.
Cryptocurrency
Eight platforms document crypto: Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, CamSoda, LiveJasmin, Flirt4Free, Cams.com and SkyPrivate. Coins range from Bitcoin to stablecoins such as USDC and USDT; BongaCams even added the PEPE meme coin in October 2025. Chaturbate says crypto gives "the best rate when purchasing tokens". Prepaid vouchers and prepaid cards
paysafecard is documented by Stripchat, CamSoda, LiveJasmin and XLoveCam, and appears with a 3% fee in Streamate's and Jerkmate's billing setup from some countries. Neosurf is accepted by BongaCams (EU and UK) and LiveJasmin. Stripchat explicitly accepts prepaid and virtual cards, and MyFreeCams accepts gift and prepaid cards used like credit cards. Gift cards
Retail gift cards can be converted into tokens through partners: PayGarden on Chaturbate and CamSoda (CamSoda names Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot and Costco among others), UgiftHub on Stripchat, and a US program for 100+ brands on CAM4, where cards are redeemed below face value. LiveJasmin advertises "Pay With Any Gift Card". BongaCams' gift card mention is a promotion (a 5 € gift card for every 200 € of purchases), not a way to pay.
Local bank methods
European and Latin American viewers often see bank-based methods: iDEAL (CamSoda, CAM4, Streamate and Jerkmate where offered, XLoveCam, SkyPrivate), Sofort (Stripchat, CamSoda, CAM4, SkyPrivate), BLIK and Przelewy24 (CamSoda, LiveJasmin), Bancontact (CAM4, SkyPrivate), PIX (CamSoda) and Boleto (LiveJasmin). These pay straight from your bank account rather than through a card.
Phone and SMS billing
BongaCams offers SMS payments through mobile operators by country, LiveJasmin lists Pay by Phone, Stripchat lists mobile billing, and CAM4 offers phone billing via Commdoo on landlines in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and on landlines and mobiles in the UK. Phone billing appears on your phone bill instead of your bank statement.
Wire transfers, checks and money orders
For large purchases, Chaturbate takes wire transfers from $250 (credited at $0.08 per token) and certified checks or money orders from $160; Stripchat takes wires from 500 EUR, GBP or USD; MyFreeCams and CamSoda list bank wire; Flirt4Free takes checks and money orders by mail.
Why Apple Pay and Google Pay are not used
Apple Pay and Google Pay are the payment methods people most often look for and least often find on cam sites. The reason is in the providers' own rules:
- Apple Pay: Apple's Acceptable Use Guidelines for Apple Pay on the Web list "Pornography" and sites that primarily offer "sexually-oriented items or services" as prohibited uses.
- Google Pay: the Google Pay and Wallet APIs Acceptable Use Policy says "We do not allow the APIs to be used for pornography and other sexually explicit material", and also excludes adult services and sexually focused dating.
The one exception we saw: XLoveCam's Add Credits page, opened logged out from the Netherlands on October 14, 2026, listed Apple Pay for amounts from EUR 25 to EUR 300. We report it as observed on XLoveCam's page; how that sits with Apple's general policy is between XLoveCam, its processor and Apple. No platform we checked listed Google Pay. Because the support is so thin, we cover these two in this section rather than on separate pages.

Card network rules behind the scenes
Card networks treat adult content as a high-risk business, which shapes how cam sites take payments. Mastercard tightened its rules in April 2021, effective October 15, 2021: the bank processing an adult content merchant must certify the merchant verifies the age and identity of everyone depicted, documents consent, reviews content before publication and resolves complaints about illegal or non-consensual content within seven business days. Visa classes adult content (merchant category 5967) as a Tier 1 "High Integrity Risk" category since May 2023, requiring extra registration for the banks involved. In August 2025, after game stores removed adult titles, Mastercard said it allows "all lawful purchases" but requires controls against illegal adult content.
For viewers this mainly explains why cam sites bill through specialist adult-content processors rather than mainstream checkouts, and why those processors' names appear on statements.
Recurring billing and auto-refill by method
Recurring charges depend on the method. Auto-refill features buy tokens automatically when your balance runs low, but only on methods that can be charged again:
- Chaturbate Auto Refill works with credit cards only.
- Stripchat Auto-Refill runs on cards and PayPal, up to 4 refills in 24 hours.
- XLoveCam's optional recurring e-wallet top-up is card only.
- LiveJasmin SmartBuy, CamSoda Easy Re-ups, BongaCams Auto Top-up and Cams.com Autoload are optional and switched off unless you enable them.
Memberships and fan clubs renew on the payment method you used, usually a card. Flirt4Free charges VIP renewals to the last card used, and CAM4's Gold renews through the processor you paid with. Crypto, vouchers and gift cards cannot be charged again without you, which makes them a natural cap on spending. To stop renewals, see how to stop recurring cam site billing.
Fees and price differences by method
Most platforms do not publish method-specific fees, but some differences are documented:
- XLoveCam: cards, iDEAL, Pay by Bank and Apple Pay load full face value; PayPal gives about 10% less credit (EUR 9 for EUR 10) and Paysafecard about 11% less (EUR 4.40 for EUR 5).
- Streamate: PayPal adds a service charge; paysafecard shows a 3% fee in the billing setup where offered.
- CAM4: token purchases carry a transaction fee (amount shown only at checkout); US gift cards redeem below face value; one e-wallet method code in the checkout gives fewer tokens for the same price.
- Chaturbate: crypto "gives you the best rate" (not quantified); wire purchases credit $0.08 per token.
- MyFreeCams: prices are set in US dollars; processors convert other currencies at their exchange rate and may add a surcharge.
Refunds depend on the method
The method you choose affects whether you can get money back later. Stripchat refunds money only for card or PayPal purchases. LiveJasmin and BongaCams refund only to the original payment method. SkyPrivate cannot refund crypto or Bancontact top-ups, and Cams.com treats crypto payments as final. If refund rights matter to you, a card is the safest choice. Which payment method should you use?
- Want the easiest refunds and widest acceptance: a credit or debit card, with auto-refill off.
- Do not want your card stored on the cam site: PayPal, accepting a possible surcharge.
- Want nothing on your bank statement: crypto, a voucher or a gift card; see anonymous payment options.
- Want a hard spending cap: a voucher or prepaid card with a fixed balance.
- Buying a large amount: compare wire or crypto rates on Chaturbate and Stripchat.

FAQ
Which cam sites accept PayPal?
Stripchat, LiveJasmin, CamSoda (via Epoch), MyFreeCams (via SegPay), CAM4, Streamate, Jerkmate, Cams.com and XLoveCam document PayPal. SkyPrivate accepts it only for US accounts, via a PayPal crypto purchase. Chaturbate, BongaCams and Flirt4Free do not list it.
Can you use Apple Pay on cam sites?
Rarely. Apple's guidelines for Apple Pay on the web prohibit use for pornography. The only cam site where we saw Apple Pay was XLoveCam, whose credit page listed it for EUR 25 to EUR 300 when we checked from the Netherlands.
Why is Google Pay not available on cam sites?
Google's Acceptable Use Policy for the Google Pay APIs does not allow them to be used for pornography and other sexually explicit material. None of the platforms we checked listed Google Pay.
What payment methods does Stripchat accept?

Can I pay for cam tokens with a debit card?
Yes on most sites. Stripchat, MyFreeCams, CAM4, Streamate and SkyPrivate explicitly mention debit cards, and the others accept Visa and Mastercard. Some features, such as Chaturbate's Auto Refill, require a credit card.
