There are no full-featured adult webcam apps for viewers in Apple's App Store or Google Play, because both stores ban sexual content. The best cam sites for mobile instead run in your phone's browser and can be added to the home screen as a web app; Stripchat, Chaturbate, BongaCams, CamSoda and MyFreeCams all document this. LiveJasmin is the one large platform we track that offers an Android app, as a download from its own mobile site.

In short
Apple's guideline 1.1.4 and Google Play's sexual content policy keep viewer cam apps out of both stores.
"Webcam apps" from the big platforms are progressive web apps (PWAs) or home-screen shortcuts installed from the official site.
LiveJasmin offers an Android APK from its mobile site; iOS is "excluded currently".
Performer apps are different: CAM4's C4 app and BongaCams' BM Broadcaster are in the stores.
Any "Chaturbate app" or "Stripchat app" in a store is not official. Stripchat says plainly: don't install it.
Why there are no webcam apps in the App Store or Google Play
Apple's App Store Review Guideline 1.1.4 bans "overtly sexual or pornographic material", and guideline 1.2 adds that apps with user-generated content used "primarily for pornographic content" do not belong on the App Store. Google Play's developer policy bans apps that contain or promote sexual content or "content or services intended to be sexually gratifying".
The platforms say the same thing from their side. MyFreeCams' wiki puts it simply: "There is no MyFreeCams Mobile App in the iOS/Android App Stores because they do not allow apps containing adult content." Chaturbate's help center says "there is no official 'app' for Chaturbate, but you can still add an icon to your home screen". When we searched Apple's App Store for each platform name on October 14, 2026, none returned an official viewer app.
So when people search for webcam apps, what they can actually install falls into three groups: web apps added from the browser, official Android APK files downloaded from a platform's own website, and separate apps made for performers rather than viewers.
Which platforms have what on mobile
Every platform we track works in a mobile browser. This table shows whether each has an official viewer app in the iOS or Android column (a web app does not count), checked October 14, 2026.
XloveCam shows "Not confirmed" for Android because we found only its installable web app and no APK or store listing. The detailed setup for each phone type is on our pages for cam sites on iPhone and cam sites on Android.
Best cam sites for mobile
These are the best cam sites for mobile based on what each platform documents for phone users: an official web app or home-screen guide, which features work on mobile, and how clearly it warns about fake apps. We did not test streams on devices, so streaming quality is not part of the ranking.
Stripchat has the most complete official mobile setup we found. Its /app page installs a PWA on iPhone, Android and desktop, with notifications, and a help-center article dated 2026 states that Stripchat "does not offer a standalone mobile app through the App Store, Google Play, or as an APK". The same article warns: if you come across an app claiming to be the Stripchat app, don't install it.
The full show menu is available on mobile, and VR shows run in a headset's browser at vr.stripchat.com with no app needed. Performers can broadcast from Chrome on Android, Safari on iOS or the PWA. More on Stripchat on mobile.
Best for
Viewers who want an app-like experience with notifications and the widest show menu.
Chaturbate's help center says you can "broadcast, watch videos, hear sound, tip, and chat on mobile devices," and explains how to add a home-screen icon on iOS (Safari), Android (Chrome) and Samsung Internet. There is no official app. Public rooms load without an account, which makes the mobile site quick to try.
Broadcasters can go live from the mobile browser in portrait or landscape, including private shows, although sending chat messages while broadcasting on mobile is listed as "coming soon". See the Chaturbate mobile guide.
Best for
Free watching and tipping on a phone without installing anything.
BongaCams calls its mobile page "BongaCams App", but it is a set of Add to Home Screen instructions for iOS and Android rather than a store app. The mobile version has its own perks: a one-time bonus of up to 100 tokens for entering from a mobile device, and the tip menu has been usable on mobile since July 2025.
For performers, BongaCams is one of the few platforms with a store-listed broadcaster app (BM Broadcaster on the App Store) plus an Android app from bongamodels.com. Details in our BongaCams mobile page.
Best for
Viewers who want public token prices and a mobile sign-up bonus.
CamSoda offers the full mobile site, an installable PWA added through Safari or Chrome and Samsung Internet (or its "Get Now" install bar), and a lighter version at camsoda.app. No CamSoda app turned up in App Store or Google Play searches on October 14, 2026, and CamSoda mentions no official APK.
Best for
Viewers who like published token prices and a lightweight mobile version.
MyFreeCams runs a mobile site at m.myfreecams.com and a web app at MFC.APP, both added to the home screen. Its wiki says all models can be viewed on mobile, with a 0.5 to 5 second delay on mobile feeds. Guests can watch for as long as they want, and the fixed site-wide show prices make mobile spending predictable.
Best for
Watching on a phone with fixed, published show prices and no recurring charges.
LiveJasmin is the exception to the web-app rule. Its FAQ recommends the "LJ App" for Android, installed "from the page within the mobile website in the Main Menu", so it comes as a file from LiveJasmin's own site rather than from Google Play. The FAQ also states "iOS devices are excluded currently"; iPhone users use the mobile site at m.livejasmin.com, and the FAQ gives separate mobile instructions for all features.
One practical difference: account deletion is done on desktop, and from mobile LiveJasmin asks you to email support.
Best for
Android users who want premium private shows in an installed app.
CAM4's FAQ says you can watch in the mobile browser with "no app or downloads needed" and add the site to your home screen. Its viewer experience is web-only, but CAM4 is the platform with the most visible performer app: "C4 - Broadcast From Anywhere" is in Apple's App Store (iOS launch announced 22 July 2026) and "C4 Broadcaster" is on Google Play, both listed under Granity, a company named in CAM4's terms. CAM4's own broadcasting page describes the app for both systems.
Best for
Performers who want to go live from a phone with a store-installed app.
A progressive web app is, in web.dev's words, a set of "capabilities that enable app experiences, built and deployed on the web." In practice you open the official site, choose Add to Home Screen (or Install) in the browser menu, and get an icon that opens the site full-screen like an app. Nothing goes through an app store, so there is nothing for Apple or Google to remove.
For a cam site, a PWA has real advantages: it always runs the current version, it uses the same login and token balance as the website, and it cannot ask for the broad device permissions a downloaded app might. Stripchat's PWA adds notifications, and Stripchat's app page claims it "keeps your activity off your browser history".
The limits are those of the browser. Background playback, picture-in-picture and notifications depend on your phone and browser, and on iPhone the platforms' own guides use Safari to add the web app. Step-by-step instructions are on the iPhone and Android pages.
Official APKs and Android sideloading
Because Google Play bans sexual content, any official cam app for Android is distributed as an APK file from the platform's own domain. Among the platforms we track, LiveJasmin's LJ App for viewers and the BongaModels app for performers work this way. Installing them means allowing installs from unknown sources, which is a security trade-off: only ever do it from the platform's official website, reached by typing the address yourself.
That route is changing. Google's Android developer verification requires apps on certified Android devices to come from verified developers "regardless of your app's download source." Enforcement started on 30 September 2026 in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand, with a global rollout planned for 2027. Apps from unregistered developers can still be installed through an "advanced flow" with extra safeguards, or over ADB. Whether LiveJasmin and BongaModels have registered was not stated on their pages; we explain what it means for users on our Android guide.
iPhone: the EU exception
Apple allows alternative app distribution in the EU (through marketplaces and developer websites) and in Brazil and Japan (marketplaces only). Apple's support page says apps distributing pornography can exist there but are "unrated", and age restrictions on the device block their installation. In February 2025 an adult video app, Hot Tub, launched for iPhone in the EU through the AltStore PAL marketplace, with Apple saying it "would never offer it in its App Store".
No cam platform has used this route so far: we found no official cam-platform app in an EU alternative iOS marketplace. For iPhone users everywhere, the mobile site and home-screen web app remain the way to use cam sites.
Apps for performers
Broadcasting apps are a separate category, and some are in the stores because they are streaming tools rather than adult content viewers. If you are a performer looking at phone broadcasting, this is what the platforms document:
CAM4: the C4 app on iOS and Android lets you go live from a phone, accept private shows, set goals, message and record shows to a Media Vault.
BongaCams: BM Broadcaster on the App Store (iOS 12.4 or later; the store lists seller GLORYVASE LTD, not the site operator) and an Android app downloaded from bongamodels.com.
LiveJasmin: a mobile app downloaded from the Model Center, plus the JasminCam desktop broadcaster for Windows and macOS.
Stripchat: no own app; it documents the third-party Plasma Streaming app (App Store and Google Play) and browser streaming from the PWA.
Chaturbate: mobile-browser broadcasting on iOS and Android browsers, plus OBS for desktop.
SkyPrivate: calls run in its SP Chat web app or through Teams, Discord and Telegram.
Because the big platforms have no store apps, anything in a store or on a download site that carries their name deserves suspicion. Stripchat's help center tells users directly not to install apps that claim to be Stripchat. As general best practice:
Install only from the platform's own website, reached by typing the address. A real web app is added from your browser, not downloaded.
Be wary of any "app" that asks for payment details outside the platform's normal checkout, offers "free tokens" or "unlocked" shows, or wants permissions such as contacts or SMS.
Check the developer name on any store app against the platform's own documentation. CAM4 names its C4 app on its own site; BongaModels names BM Broadcaster.
Never enter your cam site password into a third-party app.
On mobile you buy tokens through the same web checkout as on desktop, so the payment methods are the same as the platform's website. Native phone wallets are rare: Apple's acceptable use guidelines prohibit Apple Pay on the web for pornography sites, and Google's Pay API policy excludes sexually explicit material. XloveCam was the only platform we track whose credit page listed Apple Pay. Card, crypto and local methods are compared in our payment methods section.
FAQ
Is there a Chaturbate app?
No official one. Chaturbate's help center says there is no official app but you can add an icon to your home screen from Safari, Chrome or Samsung Internet. The full site, including tipping, chat and broadcasting, works in mobile browsers.
Why are there no cam apps in the App Store?
Apple's App Store Review Guideline 1.1.4 bans overtly sexual or pornographic material, and Google Play bans sexual content too. Cam platforms therefore offer web apps and, in LiveJasmin's case, an Android APK from their own site.
How do I install a cam site as an app?
Open the official site in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android), open the share or browser menu and choose Add to Home Screen or Install. The icon opens the site full-screen with your normal login.
Are cam site APKs safe?
Only if they come from the platform's own official website, and even then you are installing outside Google Play's checks. LiveJasmin is the platform we track that offers a viewer APK. Never install a cam app from a third-party download site.
Can models broadcast from a phone?
Yes, on many platforms. Chaturbate and Stripchat support browser broadcasting, CAM4 and BongaCams have dedicated broadcaster apps, and LiveJasmin offers a mobile app through its Model Center.
