Stripchat App: The Official Web App Explained

The official Stripchat app is a progressive web app (PWA) that you install from stripchat.com/app in your phone's browser. Stripchat's help center states that it "does not offer a standalone mobile app through the App Store, Google Play, or as an APK", so any store listing or APK file using the Stripchat name is not official.

  1. Open stripchat.com/app in your phone's browser. On iPhone, use Safari.
  2. Follow the install prompt. On iPhone, Stripchat's instructions use the Safari Share menu and Add to Home Screen; on Android, use the install option on the page or in the browser menu.
  3. Open Stripchat from the new icon and log in with your normal account.
  4. Allow notifications if you want them. Stripchat lists notifications among the PWA's features.

In short

  • Stripchat's app is a PWA for iPhone, Android and desktop, installed from its own site.
  • No App Store, Google Play or APK version exists; App Store searches for "stripchat" returned 0 results on October 14, 2026.
  • Stripchat's own advice on fakes: if an app claims to be the Stripchat app, don't install it.
  • VR shows run in a headset's browser at vr.stripchat.com; no app needed.
  • Models can broadcast from Chrome, Safari, the PWA or the third-party Plasma Streaming app.

Why the Stripchat app is a web app

Apple's guideline 1.1.4 and Google Play's sexual content policy rule out an adult cam app in either store, and Stripchat chose not to distribute an APK either. Instead it built a PWA: in web.dev's definition, "capabilities that enable app experiences, built and deployed on the web." You get a home-screen icon, a full-screen window and notifications, while the content still comes from stripchat.com.

Stripchat added a dedicated help article and app page in 2026 that spell this out, partly to warn users away from imitations. For the wider picture across platforms, see our guide to cam site apps.

What the Stripchat web app does

The PWA is the full Stripchat site, so everything available on desktop is available in the app: free public rooms (no account needed to watch), private and exclusive private shows, cam2cam, group and ticket shows, spy mode, fan clubs and recorded content. Stripchat's app page lists notifications as a feature and claims that using the PWA "keeps your activity off your browser history"; that is Stripchat's own claim, not something we measured.

Show prices are the same as on the website. Stripchat documents private shows at 8 to 150 tokens per minute and cam2cam at 8 to 250, set by each model. What tokens cost is covered on the Stripchat pricing page, and their value to models on Stripchat tokens.

VR on Stripchat without an app

Stripchat's VR shows also skip the app stores. You open vr.stripchat.com in the browser of a VR headset. Stripchat recommends Meta Quest models, Rift and Apple Vision Pro, and also lists Valve Index, HP Reverb, HTC Vive Pro, Pico 4 and Cardboard. Models set their own VR private prices.

Buying tokens and managing your account on mobile

Tokens are bought in the same "Buy Tokens" window as on desktop, which shows packages only after you log in; prices depend on your country and payment method. Stripchat accepts cards, PayPal, paysafecard, mobile billing, gift cards, more than 50 cryptocurrencies and bank wire. Charges appear under names such as "EPOCH.COM*Technius", "SegpayEU.com-TechChat" or "Paymentico.com" rather than Stripchat.

  • Auto-Refill re-buys your last package, up to 4 times in 24 hours on cards or PayPal. It is off unless you enable it in Settings and Privacy.
  • Ultimate membership can renew monthly or annually. Cancel at My Profile > My Subscriptions > Ultimate membership > Cancel Membership.
  • Fan clubs renew monthly unless cancelled in My Subscriptions.
  • Two-factor authentication is available through Google Authenticator.
  • Deleting your account: Settings and Privacy > Delete Account > "Do It". Data is permanently deleted after 18 months.

Step-by-step cancellation for every platform is in our recurring billing guide.

Broadcasting on Stripchat from a phone

Stripchat has no broadcaster app of its own. Models can stream from Chrome on Android, Safari on iOS or the PWA, with 4 Mbps up and down recommended for 720p. Stripchat notes that Honor, ZTE and Huawei phones are not supported for browser streaming.

For better quality from a phone, Stripchat documents the third-party Plasma Streaming app (App Store and Google Play) as supported external software, with 480p to 1080p at up to 60 fps. On a computer, OBS with a stream key goes up to 1080p. Payouts and signup are covered on our Stripchat model guide.

How to spot a fake Stripchat app

Stripchat's help article is direct: "If you come across an app claiming to be the Stripchat app ... don't install it." Since the real app is only ever installed from stripchat.com/app, the rule is simple:

  • Anything in the App Store or Google Play named Stripchat is unofficial (the third-party Plasma Streaming app is a streaming tool for models, not a Stripchat viewer app).
  • Any APK file offered as "Stripchat" is unofficial.
  • Offers of free or discounted tokens outside the site's own checkout are a warning sign; Stripchat says it does not use coupons and shows personal discounts inside your account.

More warning signs are in our guide to avoiding cam site scams. For the full platform picture, read the Stripchat review; for the main rival on mobile, see Chaturbate on mobile.
