Webcam Sites on Android
Webcam sites on Android run in Chrome or Samsung Internet and most can be added to your home screen as a web app. Google Play bans sexual content, so there are no viewer cam apps there; the only official viewer app among the platforms we track is LiveJasmin's, downloaded as an APK from its own mobile site. Google's new developer verification, enforced in four countries since 30 September 2026 and planned worldwide for 2027, will make installing such APKs more involved.

- Open the official cam site in Chrome (or Samsung Internet) by typing its address.
- Tap the browser menu (three dots in Chrome).
- Choose Add to Home screen or Install app. Some sites, such as CamSoda, also show their own install bar.
- Open the site from the icon and log in once; your tokens and settings carry over.
- Only if the platform itself offers an APK (LiveJasmin for viewers), download it from the official site, install it, then switch "install unknown apps" back off for your browser.
In short
- Google Play's policy bans apps with sexual content, so cam platforms have no viewer apps there.
- Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, CamSoda, MyFreeCams, CAM4, SkyPrivate and XloveCam offer home-screen web apps.
- LiveJasmin's "LJ App" is an APK from its mobile site; Stripchat says it has no APK at all.
- From 30 September 2026, apps on certified Android devices in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand must come from verified developers; global rollout is planned for 2027.
Why Google Play has no cam apps
Google Play's developer policy on sexual content bans apps that contain or promote sexual content or "content or services intended to be sexually gratifying", along with apps promoting "sex-related entertainment". A live cam app falls squarely under that, so official Android cam apps, where they exist at all, come as APK files from the platform's own domain. Our overview of cam site apps covers the same question for iPhone.
Web apps: the main way to use webcam sites on Android
Most platforms point Android users to a home-screen web app. A progressive web app is, in web.dev's words, a set of "capabilities that enable app experiences, built and deployed on the web": it installs from the browser, opens full-screen and needs no download. Checked October 14, 2026:
| Platform | Mobile web | Android app | No account |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | Yes | No | Yes |
| Stripchat | Yes | No | Yes |
| BongaCams | Yes | No | Yes |
| LiveJasmin | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| CamSoda | Yes | No | Yes |
| MyFreeCams | Yes | No | Yes |
| CAM4 | Yes | No | Yes |
| Streamate | Yes | No | Yes |
| Flirt4Free | Yes | No | Yes |
| Jerkmate | Yes | No | Not confirmed |
| ImLive | Yes | No | Yes |
| Cams.com | Yes | No | Yes |
| SkyPrivate | Yes | No | No |
| XloveCam | Yes | Not confirmed | Yes |
- Chaturbate: home-screen icon from Chrome or Samsung Internet; no official app. See Chaturbate on mobile.
- Stripchat: a PWA from stripchat.com/app with notifications; no Google Play app and no APK. See Stripchat's web app.
- BongaCams: its Android guide uses Chrome > Add to Home Screen; no Play Store app or APK for viewers. See BongaCams on mobile.
- CamSoda: a PWA via Chrome or Samsung Internet, or its "Get Now" install bar, plus a lite version at camsoda.app.
- MyFreeCams, CAM4, SkyPrivate and XloveCam: mobile sites with home-screen web apps.
Official APKs: LiveJasmin and the BongaModels app
Two of the platforms we track distribute Android apps outside Google Play:
- LiveJasmin (viewers): its FAQ says, "From Android smartphones we recommend to use our LJ App, that is available for installation from the page within the mobile website in the Main Menu." The FAQ adds that iOS is "excluded currently".
- BongaModels (performers): the BongaCams model app for Android is downloaded from bongamodels.com and needs "unknown sources" enabled and Android 5.0 or later.
Installing any APK skips Google Play's review. As general best practice, download only from the platform's official website, reached by typing the address; check that your browser shows the real domain; and turn the "install unknown apps" permission off again afterwards. If an APK asks for permissions unrelated to watching or streaming, such as SMS or contacts, do not install it.
Android developer verification in 2026 and 2027
Google is changing how sideloading works. Under its Android developer verification program, apps on certified Android devices must come from verified developers. Google's guide is explicit: "If your app runs on a certified device, these requirements apply to you, regardless of your app's download source."
- From 30 September 2026: enforced in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
- 2027: global rollout planned.
- Unregistered apps: can still be installed through an "advanced flow" with extra safeguards, or via ADB from a computer.
For people using webcam sites on Android, this matters only where a platform distributes an APK. If LiveJasmin or BongaModels register as verified developers, their apps install as before; if not, you will see the extra steps of the advanced flow. Neither platform's pages say which applies, so check their install pages before updating. Web apps are not affected, because nothing is installed from a file.
Store apps that are related but not viewer apps
A few cam-related apps are on Google Play because they are not adult content viewers:
- C4 Broadcaster (developer listed as Granity) is CAM4's performer app for going live from a phone, accepting private shows and recording to a Media Vault.
- Plasma Streaming is a third-party streaming app that Stripchat documents for models, with 480p to 1080p at up to 60 fps.
- Club Elite Chat (by JWE S.a.r.l., linked in LiveJasmin's footer) and MC Messenger (by JWS International, one of LiveJasmin's operating companies) are on Google Play, but their store descriptions are generic messengers and we could not confirm they connect to LiveJasmin accounts.
Phone broadcasting options across platforms are compared on our mobile cams page. Note that Stripchat says Honor, ZTE and Huawei phones are not supported for browser streaming.
Paying on Android
Tokens are bought through each site's web checkout, so you get the same cards, crypto and local methods as on desktop. Google Pay is generally not an option: Google's Pay API acceptable use policy says, "We do not allow the APIs to be used for pornography and other sexually explicit material." Some platforms offer mobile carrier billing instead, for example Stripchat ("Mobile billing") and BongaCams (SMS by country). Compare methods on our payment methods guide.
FAQ
Why are there no cam apps on Google Play?
Google Play's developer policy bans apps containing sexual content or services intended to be sexually gratifying. Cam platforms use web apps instead, and LiveJasmin offers an APK from its own site.
Is it safe to install a cam site APK?
Only from the platform's own website, and only for platforms that actually offer one (LiveJasmin for viewers). Any APK claiming to be Chaturbate, Stripchat or BongaCams for viewers is unofficial.
What is Android developer verification?
A Google requirement that apps on certified Android devices come from verified developers, whatever the download source. It has been enforced in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand since 30 September 2026, with a global rollout planned for 2027. Unregistered apps can still be installed through an advanced flow or ADB.
Does LiveJasmin have an Android app?
Yes. LiveJasmin's FAQ recommends its LJ App for Android, installed from a page in the Main Menu of its mobile website rather than from Google Play. There is no iOS version.
