Webcam Platform Fees and Payout Percentages
Webcam platform fees are the part of viewer spending a cam site keeps before paying the model. On the platforms that publish their terms, models keep from 27% (ImLive's standard host rate) to 80% (LiveJasmin's top level), and a flat $0.05 per token works out at roughly half of what viewers paid (48% to 63% on Chaturbate's and Stripchat's own figures). On top of that come payout method fees, fast-payout charges and reserves. Every figure below comes from official model documentation, checked October 14, 2026.
In short
- Token sites usually pay a fixed cash value per token: $0.05 on Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and CamSoda, $0.10 on CAM4.
- Percentage sites publish a share: LiveJasmin 30% to 80% by level, SkyPrivate 70% for new models, XloveCam 50%, ImLive 27% standard.
- Streamate, Cams.com and Flirt4Free do not publish their payout percentage publicly.
- Payout method fees range from nothing (ACH, many Paxum payouts) to $45 per crypto payout on Chaturbate.
- Taxes are separate: platforms report earnings (DAC7 in the EU, 1099-MISC in the US) but you pay the tax.

How webcam payouts work
Every platform follows the same chain, even if the names differ:
- The viewer pays for tokens, credits or per-minute time. Package discounts, VAT and payment method change what they pay per unit.
- The viewer spends on tips, private shows, fan clubs or content in your room.
- You earn those tokens or credits, which the platform converts to cash at a fixed rate (per token) or a share (percentage).
- The pay period closes: weekly, twice a month, every 14 days, or on request.
- Your balance is checked against the minimum. If it is below, it rolls over to the next period.
- The platform sends the money by your chosen payout method, minus any method fee.
- You handle taxes on what you receive, based on where you live.

Per-token payouts vs percentage payouts
A fixed token value tells you exactly what each token is worth to you, but not what share of the viewer's money that is. Viewers pay different prices per token depending on package size, so the same $0.05 is a larger share of a cheap bulk token than of an expensive small pack. The platforms' own numbers show this:
- Chaturbate: $0.05 is about 48% of the $20.99-per-200-token reference value and about 63% of the $0.08 wire rate.
- Stripchat: says $0.05 is 48% to 63% of the package price, "over 55%" on average.
- MyFreeCams: 50.00% on the 200-token package up to 63.13% on 7,575 tokens; "more than 60% of all gross revenue" on average.
- CamSoda: by our arithmetic on its published packages, about 36% (smallest) to 62% (largest), if the listed counts include bonus tokens.
- BongaCams: the user FAQ's €0.025 per token is about 23% to 42% of listed token prices, even though the same FAQ says "about 50%".
- CAM4: $0.10 per token, but viewers in Europe pay about €0.17 to €0.22 per token by card. Because those are different currencies, we do not turn this into a percentage.
A percentage payout skips that problem: you get a stated share of what was spent, whatever the viewer paid per credit. The trade-off is that some percentage sites tie the share to your earnings level or to who brought the customer.

Webcam platform fees beyond the headline share
The headline share is not the only deduction. Official model pages list these extra costs:
Payout method fees
- Chaturbate: Paxum $0.50, CosmoPayment $1.00, SEPA and Canada EFT $8.95, Bitcoin and Ethereum $45, Tether and USD Coin 35 units + 0.9%, FedEx check $40 (US) or $80 (international); ACH and USPS checks free.
- BongaCams: WebMoney 3%, SEPA wire $6 for individuals, USD card payouts 1.5% + $2.50; Paxum free on regular payouts.
- MyFreeCams: international wire $15; the wiki lists other methods as free.
- Cams.com: wire $20; Paxum and CosmoPay free.
- SkyPrivate: Paxum USD $2, Yoursafe $2, ACH $5, crypto 3% down to 1.5% on larger amounts.
- XloveCam: €6.80 per transfer unless you use the XLC Card or SEPA.
- Stripchat: officially free, although a 2025 article says 1% is deducted on crypto payouts.
Faster payout fees
Chaturbate's daily payouts cost $3.95 per day. LiveJasmin charges 1% for Fast Payout (min $5, max $150) and 3% for Instant Payout (min $5). BongaCams charges $1 for an on-request Paxum payout.
Reserves and chargebacks
- XloveCam holds a 5% reserve for 180 days against chargebacks.
- CAM4 keeps a 3-day reserve on earnings.
- Chaturbate may charge fan club chargebacks to the broadcaster.
- Stripchat says models are "100% protected" except fraud or a justified complaint, Streamate says it never penalizes performers for chargebacks or card declines, and SkyPrivate says it does not allow members to make chargebacks.
Currency and other costs
LiveJasmin converts EUR payouts at the ECB mid-market rate plus 0.3%. Stripchat VR models pay a weekly VR provider fee. CAM4's Boost promotion costs 25 tokens. ImLive's host agreement includes fines of up to $5,000 for certain breaches, and pays only 12% on spending made with members' bonus credits.
Referral rates: where the share goes up
Many platforms pay more on customers you bring yourself, which matters if you already have a social following:
- XloveCam: 45% commission on top of your 50%, "up to 95%".
- SkyPrivate: 90% on members who join through your link.
- Cams.com: up to 80% of a referred new member's spending.
- ImLive: 70% on members you brought to the site.
- Stripchat: 20% of referred fans' purchases; Chaturbate's affiliate program pays 20% of referred users' spending.
- LiveJasmin: an extra 20% bonus for every new member you refer.

Taxes are not a platform fee
Platforms do not take your income tax, but they do report it. Chaturbate issues a 1099-MISC to US creators earning $600 or more. CamSoda and Cams.com collect a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN/W-8 (non-US). In the EU, the DAC7 directive makes platforms report sellers of personal services, including name, address, date of birth, tax ID, earnings and payout account, from 2023 onward; the small-seller exemption applies only to goods. Chaturbate and BongaCams both say they apply it. ImLive's agreement says payments are inclusive of indirect taxes, and SkyPrivate makes models responsible for their own taxes.
How to compare cam site fees yourself
- Find the published rate in the model FAQ or wiki, not the marketing page.
- Convert per-token rates using the viewer token prices for the packages your audience buys most.
- Check the conditions: level resets, referral-only rates, bonus credit rules.
- Add the payout method fee for the method you will actually use, at your typical payout size.
- Read the reserve and chargeback rules.

What percentage do cam sites take?
On published terms, between 20% and 73% of viewer spending: LiveJasmin keeps 70% at the lowest level and 20% at the top, XloveCam 50%, SkyPrivate 30% for new models, and ImLive 73% at the standard host rate. Token sites paying $0.05 per token keep roughly 37% to 52% of the reference prices they publish.
Which cam site has the best payout percentage?
For new models, SkyPrivate's 70% is the highest published base share, but it requires a company. LiveJasmin reaches 80% only above $30,000 in a period. Among token sites, MyFreeCams reports more than 60% on average.
How do cam models get paid?
Earnings are converted to cash at the platform's rate, collected over a pay period, and sent when you pass the minimum, by a method such as ACH, Paxum, SEPA, wire, check or crypto. See our payout methods guide.
Is $0.05 per token a good payout?
It is the most common published rate, used by Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams and CamSoda. Measured against viewer prices, it equals roughly half of what viewers pay, more on large packages and less on small ones.
