True Private Show
A true private show is a one-on-one cam show that no other member can watch, not even through paid spy mode. The term comes from MyFreeCams, where TruePrivate costs 80 tokens per minute instead of the regular 60. Other platforms sell the same idea as Exclusive Private (Stripchat, CamSoda, LiveJasmin), Full-private (BongaCams) or Premium Private (Chaturbate).
In short
- A regular private show is often watchable by "spies" who pay a lower rate. A true private blocks them.
- MyFreeCams: private 60 tokens per minute, TruePrivate 80, spy 20 (fixed site-wide rates).
- Most other platforms let the performer set both prices.
- You pay more for the privacy; the performer earns more per minute.
Why "true" private?
On many cam sites, a standard private show is only private in the sense that you are the one paying and chatting. Other members can still watch it through spy shows for a smaller per-minute fee, without being able to chat. A true private, or exclusive private, switches that off. It costs more because the performer gives up the spy income.
TruePrivate on MyFreeCams
MyFreeCams uses fixed prices for everyone, published on its official wiki:
| Show type | Price | Who can watch |
|---|---|---|
| Private | 60 tokens per minute | You, plus spies |
| TruePrivate | 80 tokens per minute | Only you (no spying allowed) |
| Spy on a private | 20 tokens per minute | Video and audio, not the private chat |
| Group show | 10 tokens per minute per member | Every member who joins |
You turn TruePrivate on in My Account; the model still accepts or declines the show. In money, MFC's token packages range from USD 0.10 per token (200 tokens for USD 19.99) to about USD 0.079 (7,575 tokens for USD 599.99), so a TruePrivate minute costs roughly USD 6.34 to 8.00 depending on the package you bought (our calculation from MFC's published package table). The model receives USD 0.05 per token, which is USD 4.00 for each TruePrivate minute against USD 3.00 for a regular private minute.
The same idea on other platforms
| Platform | Name | What the official pages say |
|---|---|---|
| Chaturbate | Premium private | Its own per-minute price and minimum length, set by the broadcaster; cannot be spied on. |
| Stripchat | Exclusive Private | One-on-one without spies, plus extra activities and optional cam2cam; 8 to 150 tokens per minute. |
| CamSoda | Exclusive Private | Typical range 12 to 150 tokens per minute, against 6 to 120 for a regular private; spy shows disabled. |
| BongaCams | Full-private Chat | Default 90 tokens per minute (model limits 30 to 300) against 60 for Private Chat; no spies; recordings stay available to the member while the model's profile is active. |
| LiveJasmin | Exclusive Private | Activated with a lock icon; one-on-one with no peeking. |
| Streamate / Jerkmate | Exclusive | One-on-one only; in Premium or Private chat other members can watch. |
| Cams.com | Exclusive Chat | A private with no voyeurs. |
| XloveCam | 100% Xclusive | One-on-one if the performer enables it; profiles we checked showed EUR 2.25 to 4.00 per minute against EUR 1.30 to 1.85 for a regular private (three profiles, not a full range). |
BongaCams rates are in tokens, and its token packages are priced in EUR as seen from an EU connection. On most of these sites the performer sets both rates, so the gap between private and exclusive varies by room.
Is a true private worth it?
It depends on what bothers you. If you do not care that others might watch, a regular private is cheaper. If you want certainty that nobody else is watching, or the performer only offers some things one-on-one, the exclusive version is the one to pick. Remember that "no spies" covers other members, not the platform: some sites record private shows to your collection by default (Chaturbate does unless the broadcaster turns it off). Our private show cost guide compares rates, and private webcam sites lists platforms built around paid one-on-one time.
